Firefighting Efforts in California

The 302nd Airlift Wing is an Air Force Reserve Command unit stationed at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs. The unit recently passed the twenty-day mark in support of firefighting efforts throughout California. But it’s not just any support. KRCC’s Andrea Chalfin tagged along on Tuesday’s “media day” to see what the Springs-based reserve unit is doing.

Broadmoor Bluffs Fire

Emergency crews rushed to portions of southwest Colorado Springs this afternoon after a fire broke out in an area of grass and heavy scrub oak near the Broadmoor Bluffs-Cheyenne Mountain region.
