It would take more than 26 hours of television to tell the tale of James Michener’s town and its fictional characters from the 1880s through the 1970s. Colorado Places: Denver and the DNC

Thousands have flocked to Denver for the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Delegates will spend time at the Pepsi Center in addition to taking in the sights of the Mile-High City - many of which were around during the last convention in 1908. KUNC’s Brian Larson visited some of those enduring landmarks and has this report.

Albertson Turns 90

Colorado State University Professor Emeritus Maurice Albertson celebrates his 90th birthday at the end of this month. Albertson has influenced international education and world development programs for nearly 60 years. He’s served as a consultant to the World Bank as well as the United Nations. But as KUNC’s Brian Larson reports - one of his most recognized contributions led to the creation of the Peace Corps…. A 90th birthday celebration for Maury Albertson is scheduled for Saturday night in Ft. Collins.
