Roan Plateau Protests
Governor Bill Ritter has until the end of the month to decide if he’ll formally protest the federal leasing of the Roan Plateau for natural gas drilling. Over objections from some lawmakers and environmental groups the Bureau of Land Management plans to lease out the area all at once starting in August. Bente Birkeland reports from Denver.
