Task Force Recommends Overhauling State’s Child Welfare System
A new report recommends overhauling Colorado’s child welfare system, and shifting much of the control for services from counties to the state. The recommendations say Colorado’s current system is inconsistent, flawed and fails to adequately protect children. Bente Birkeland reports from the state capitol.
