A 22 year old Thornton man was arrested on Tuesday for beating a transgender woman to death in Greeley. Angie Zapata was found lying on the living room floor of her apartment covered by a blanket. A recent study from the National Coalition of Anti-Violence Programs says reported cases of violence against gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered people have actually decreased in Colorado over the last year.
