State lawmakers recently honored former Colorado Governor Ralph Carr for standing up for Japanese Americans during World War II. Carr bucked the federal government by welcoming Japanese Americans to Colorado at a time when they were being locked away in internment camps. This week the state is putting up signs to name part of a highway after him. Bente Birkeland reports from Denver.
